MEN'S BASKETBALL EXTENDS WIN STREAK TO 6 ON YOUTH KNIGHT
Knights Dominate Moose
Randolph Center, VT: Friday, Vermont State University- Randolph hosted the Moose from University of Maine Augusta on Youth Knights. The Knights brought a 5 game win streak into the game. After holding on to a 10 point halftime lead, the Knights had an offensive explosion in the second half scoring 47 points to secure a dominate 91-66 victory over the Moose.
VTSU-Randolph defense has carried them threw this win streak, but displayed its offensive potential having 5 players (Jaylon Calvin 25, Will Jenkins 12, Jaden Clark 10, Shandon Danne-Anderson 11, BJ Jenkins 14) score in double figures. Calvin recorded a triple- double scoring 25 points, grabbing 12 rebs, and dishing out 13 assist. Even with that, the story of the night was the return of BJ Jenkins. After a broken leg kept him out for a year and a half, Jenkins exploded for a 14 point first half which included 4 threes. " I am very happy and proud of him." Head coach Jamal Hughes said. "This was one of those life changing injuries when you wonder if you will return and be effective. He was able to overcome this and it's a testament to who he is."
The Knights travel to Concord, NH this Wednesday to take on NHTI.
