The VTSU Randolph SHAPE Facility offers a variety of membership options as listed below. If you have any questions about this information please call the SHAPE front desk at 802-728-1384.
Memberships may be purchased during operating hours from the Front Desk Attendant located in the Main Lobby of the SHAPE building. We accept cash, checks and credit cards ( MC, Visa, AE, Discover). Member and Student Rules are at the end of this page.
For SHAPE membership purposes, A family is considered: 2 partners (spouses or a couple living long term in the same household) and their dependent children under the age of 24 whom are living in the same household. Extended family (ie: grandparents, parents, grandchildren, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, boy/girlfirends) are not allowed on a family membership. Special family situations may be approved by the SHAPE Facility Manager.

Reservation of the Facility
SHAPE MEMBERSHIP RULES
To assist in keeping the SHAPE Facility a safe, clean and pleasant experience for all, the following rules have been developed. These rules apply to all VTSU students, faculty and staff in addition to members and their guests.
No smoking or alcohol is allowed in the facility.
- All people entering the facility must check in through the Front Desk.
- Members are requested to scan their membership cards.
- VTSU students, faculty and staff are requested to scan a valid VTSU ID.
- Students, faculty and staff from other VTSU campuses may use the facility upon showing their valid VTSU College ID during their College’s break weeks and summer vacation.
GUESTS
- Members may bring in one guest per membership per visit up to 4/month. Additional guests may use the facility upon paying the daily fee.
- Guests are requested to sign into the guest book with their member present.
- Members must accompany their guests at all times while the guest is in the facility.
- Guest privileges are intended for out of town visitors and community members who have not used our facility and are interested in learning about it. Guest privileges may be revoked if they are abused (i.e. bringing in the same person more than once a week regularly).
- VTSU Students, faculty, and staff are not allowed free guests.
FOOTWEAR
- Proper foot wear is required while using basketball court, racquet ball courts and the fitness center. These shoes should be non-marking and free from dirt, salt and moisture. These shoes should have closed toes.
- Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times in the facility.
CHILDREN
- Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in all areas when in the facility.
- Children under the age of 16 are not allowed in the Fitness Center.
POOL AREA
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult when using the pool.
- No street shoes should be worn on the pool deck.
- Children over the age of five should use the appropriate locker room.
- Please put equipment away after each use.
- Diving is allowed only from the deep end of the pool.
- Lanes are restricted to lap swimmers.
- No food or glass containers allowed in the pool area.
- Follow the rules posted on the wall in the pool area.
FITNESS AREA
- Proper footwear required – Leave outdoor footwear outside of the fitness center.
- No one under the age of 16 is allowed in the fitness center.
- Please follow rules posted on the walls within the fitness center.
- Closed toe shoes and shirts must be worn at all times in the facility.
- No food is allowed in the fitness center.
- Wipe down machines after each use.
- Please keep listening levels appropriate and non-offensive.
- Please report damage or machines that need attention to the front desk.
RACQUETBALL COURTS
- Courts may be reserved by members on a first come first serve basis.
- Members may not reserve courts for guests.
- Non-marking shoes are required.
- Equipment is available for check out free of charge at the front desk.
- Protective eye goggles should be worn when playing racquet ball.
CLIMBING WALL
- The climbing wall is available for member use only during times when there is a Wall Monitor present.
LOCKER ROOMS
- Locker rooms should be used for changing and storage of items not needed while in the facility.
- Day use lockers are available for use.
- Locker rentals are available on a 3, 6 or 12 month basis.
VTSU reserves the right to revoke facility use privileges as a result of rule violations.
VTSU reserves the right to close the facility for maintenance and repairs as needed.
