Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor Classes

SHAPE offers classes for Lifeguarding every year through the American Red Cross.

We host an American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification annually, which is taught by an independent instructor. The class is the only 1 week ARC spring class in central Vermont, and space is limited. The Class fee is $350 which includes all materials. Lifeguard recertification only is $150. 

Registration plus a $150 non-refundable deposit ($60 for recert) is due by ASAP in order for the instructor to purchase materials. The remainder is due on the first day of class.

In addition to the lifeguarding class, we will also be hosting a Water Safety Instructor (WSI), which is taught by an independent instructor (details below). The class is one week, and space is limited to 10 participants. The class fee is $350, which includes all materials, and non-refundable deposit of $150 is due by TBD.
