Junior College Transfer Kyle Connor Joins Knights
Kyle Mcintosh-Connor has given his commitment to the Vermont Tech Men's Basketball Team, announced Head Coach Alex Tyrrell. The 6'2 junior guard from Bellevue, Nebraska, joins the Knights after finishing his eligibility at De Anza Community College in California.
As a sophomore at De Anza, Kyle averaged 11 points per game and just shy of 5 rebounds a night. He exploded for a season high of 31 points in a win against Butte College while going 6 for 6 from 3 point range.
Coach Tyrrell is thrilled to have Connor in a Knights uniform this season. "Kyle is a great addition to the program. He is a very naturally gifted player. His feel for the game and IQ is very high. When you couple this with his ability to shoot the basketball, and make plays from the wing, he will fit in nicely for our style of play, said Coach Tyrrell."
Kyle will be enrolled in the Business Management and Technology program at Vermont Tech.
The Knights are coming off an 11-18 season, and a 7-6 YSCC record. The team lost a tight battle with Southern Maine in the Yankee Tournament semifinals 61-57. Returning 5 players from the 2014-2015 squad, the program has a great foundation, and along with the incoming players will look build on last season's efforts.
