Knights Land Aussie Guard Taylar Marston
The Knights have continued the tradition of having an Australian player by adding guard Taylar Marston, from Adelaide, Australia. The incoming 6'2 freshman guard is a graduate of St Francis De Sales College in South Australia.
Coach Tyrrell is very happy to continue the tradition of Australian players on the roster.
"The Australian connection for Vermont Tech has been very beneficial over the years," said Coach Tyrrell. "We've had many high quality Aussie players and students in the program. I think Taylar is built from that same mold. He is a really smart player that understands what's happening out there on the floor. The biggest thing for him with be acclimatizing to the college game, but I know he will work extremely hard this fall to make that transition."
Taylar will be enrolled in the Business Management and Technology program at Vermont Tech.
The Knights are coming off an 11-18 season, and a 7-6 YSCC record. The team lost a tight battle with Southern Maine in the Yankee Tournament semifinals 61-57. Returning 5 players from the 2014-2015 squad, the program has a great foundation, and along with the incoming players will look build on last season's efforts.
