Knights Add 6'7 Forward Kyle Rowles
Alex Tyrrell, Head Coach of the Vermont Tech Men's Basketball team, is pleased to announce the signing of Kyle Rowles. Kyle, a 6'7 forward from Loma Linda, California, comes to the Knights from Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
Coach Tyrrell believes Kyle's size and skill set will allow him to have an immediate impact for the Knights.
"Kyle is a big, strong, physical guy. His hands and feet are huge. It's unbelievable. The best thing about Kyle though is he is hungry to learn and improve his game," said Coach Tyrrell
Prior to Chandler-Gilbert, Kyle spent his freshman year at La Sierra University in California. The junior graduated from Deer Valley High School in Glendale, Arizona. While at Deer Valley he lettered in three sports Football, basketball and volleyball.
"I'm very happy Kyle has joined our program here at Vermont Tech," Tyrrell added. "He is the type of young man that will represent the program well both on and off the floor."
Kyle will be enrolled in the Fire Science program at Vermont Tech.
The Knights are coming off an 11-18 season, and a 7-6 YSCC record. The team lost a tight battle to end last season with Southern Maine in the Yankee Tournament semifinals 61-57. Returning 5 players from the 2014-2015 squad, the program has a great foundation, and along with the incoming players will look build on last season's efforts.
