3rd Annual Track & Field Festival at Vermont Tech brings in Olympians and Olympic Coaches
Randolph Center, VT - Our 3rd annual Track and Field Festival at Vermont Tech will take place on March 16 & 17, 2018 on our Randolph Center campus. The clinic will once again be a unique and special experience for New England coaches and athletes alike. This year we will focus on year round training for all track & field events, and cross country running. In addition to both lecture and practical sessons on the track and in the gym, we will also offer weight training clinics for each track event in the Vermont Tech weight room. Coaches and athletes will learn from nationally renowned coaches, including Dr. Craig Poole, Patrick Shane, Chris Polakowski, Dave Kerin, Soug Stutz, and Olympians Tappio Kuusela, Doug Padilla and Tiffany Lott Hogan.
Coach participation includes targeted time in small groups with Olympic level coaches in the field. Athletes will be able to have one on one time with these distinguished coaches as well, and practice techniques and drills that will be taught for both coaches and athletes. U32 High School student athlete Molly McCreedy spent a day and half at the 2017 Track and Field Festival with throws coach Tappio Kuusela. Molly credits her current top 7 National ranking in shot put to this " awesome experience" from the festival at Vermont Tech.
Athlete participation will allow you to meet high school and college athletes from all over New England and New York. You will get in a full day of learning from top coaches in your event. Student athletes will also learn how to find the best college fit specific to running as well as what comes next in competitive running after college - and campus tours of Vermont Tech can be arranged.
