Women's Cross Country signs Freshman Jenna Jerome
Randolph Center, VT - The Vermont Tech Women's team added a new cross country team member and Track athlete. Jenna Jerome of U 32 High school signed her letter of intent Friday at Vermont Tech with Coach Dunkle and graduating senior Rebecca Broadbent. Jenna Brings to Vermont Tech 4 years of track and cross country experience. As an athlete at U 32 High School Jenna has qualified for New England Championships in the Long Jump 16', 600M 1:48,665 and the 400M 1:01.27. Her career includes Varsity in Cross Country, Team Captain of the U32 track team and Team Captain of the indoor track club.
Jenna helped lead her track team to a state championship in the epic 4x400 M race that helped clinch State Championships in her sophomore year. When Asked about coming to Vermont Tech Jenna said "I chose VTC because of the small classes and to be able to be one on one with your teachers. I also chose VTC because of track and XC and Bob Dunkle being my high school coach for the past four years and wanted to continue working with him. I also want to help grow track at VTC over the next four years."
Coach Dunkle Says this about Jenna "She has fierce determination in her training and racing that I have admired since I first started coaching her. I am really stoked to have her as a part of our Cross Country program and Track Club. Jenna will be a mover and a shaker. She will make things happen and be very successful as a cross country runner at Vermont Tech."
