Vellek Earns YSCC POW Honors
Randolph Center, VT - Kelly Vellek, Knights' Senior Shooting Guard and Captain from Burlington, Vermont was awarded Player of the Week honors from the Yankee Small College Conference for the week of November 26, 2012.
In leading VTC to an easy win over Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn, NY, Vellek tied her career-high, scoring 33 points. In the game, she was 50% from both the field and three point range. She finished the game 13-26 overall, 7-14 from three. In addition, she had 5 assists and 3 steals in the game.
Vellek is currently tied as the top scorer in the nation, averaging 25 points per game.
