Knights Cross Coutry looks forward to hosting the YSCC Conference Championship after completing the regular season
Boston, MA - On Saturday the Vermont Tech men's Cross Country team traveled to the Suffolk Invitational in Boston.
According to coach Dunkle the team was reduced to 2 runners who finished because of flu and other issues. "It was a rough day as far as the team was concerned" said Dunkle. "We were disappointed because this was a race we all looked forward to. Sometimes lige happens and you move forward, and at this moment we are focused on Conference Championships on the 29th here at Vermont Tech."
Dunkle added "One thing I will point out though regarding Suffolk. It was top-notch for a race and venue. Very high class with top-notch colleges. Two of our runners, Trevor Kipp and Connor Mazzarella ran their fastest times. That was the bright spot of the day" While Kipp has not quite reached the record for the college, held by 2011 Justin Newland, he is getting close. Justin had that fire to excel and Trevor has the same. Perhaps he can catch Justin here at home on the 29th.
The culminatinon of the conference running season, Vermont Tech will host the 2022 Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) Championship Meet in Randolph Center, VT on Saturday, October 29th.
All are invited to come and watch the team race on the 29th at the Vermont Tech Soccer fields for the YSCC Conference Championship meet. The Women's 6KM starts at 11:00am, followed by the Men's 8KM are about 11:45am.
