Randolph Center, VT: This past weekend Knights traveled 7 hours to Buffalo, NY to take on Villa Maria College and Bryant and Stratton- Buffalo.
The Knights came out strong in the first half and led Villa Maria 39-33 at half. In the the second half Villa Maria outscored the Knights by 18 to come out with a 78-66 victory. Marquise Moore led the Knights with 30 points and Dominick Presendieu added 24 including 16 first half points. Nolan Shepard led a more balanced Vikings team with 22 points.
On Sunday, the Knights started slow and suffered a large halftime deficit against the USCAA D1 Bryant and Stratton- Buffalo. Despite an inspiring effort in the 2nd half, the Knights fell short of securing victory falling 100-75. Cyncere Watkins led the Knights with 18 while Moore and Presendieu added 17 respectfully. The Knights enter conference play Wednesday at home against Paul Smith.
"That's a tough road trip for any team and I am proud of the way we fought."Head coach Jamal Hughes said. "We came up short in both games, but a lot of good came out of it. I know my guys are excited to finally be playing a home game Wednesday. We will have a tough and motivated Paul Smith team coming, so we have to be ready to play."
