Soccer teams winless over weekend; final home games this week
The Vermont Tech Men's and women's soccer teams were on the road this past weekend in both Boston and New York. On Friday, October 4th, both teams traveled to Fisher College in Boston. The women played a tough game, and ended up losing to Fisher College 6 – 1. The Lady Knights lone goal was scored by Freshman Emily Amazeen of Northwood, NH.
On Sunday, October 6th the weary Knights were on the road again. This time they traveled to Paul Smiths College in the Adirondacks of New York. The lady knights took their second loss of the weekend to Paul Smiths under rainy conditions. Pauls Smiths outscored the Lady Knights 3 – 0 in the first half.
Then Vermont Tech got things going in the second half and scored a well worked goal off of a free-kick. Emily Amazeen played a ball to Emily Darling ( So, Groton, VT) who found the corner of the Paul Smith's goal with a clinical finish. While the Lady kinghts put out a great effort in the second half, Paul Smiths tied up the half with another goal as well, for a final score of 4 - 1.
The remaining games for the Knights in the regular season are this week on Tuesday, October 8 at 3:45 PM against NHTI for the men, and on Wednesday, October 9th at 3:345pm for the women.
Both game are at our home field in Randolph Center, VT
