In a week of record-shattering performances, the Lady Knights junior guard Jordanna Morris was a sight to behold. She exploded for a total of 123 points while shooting an astronomical 59 of 79, (75%) from the field, 55 rebounds, 39 assists, 29 steals, she is now the nations leading scorer and 2nd leading rebounder. She scored the game-high in each game with 48, 44, and 31 points respectively. The team as a whole shot .56% from the field, demolishing Hampshire College by 98 points, followed by a 90 point win against Paul Smith College and capping off the week with a 45 point win against Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
Coach Miller stated, "contributions from our freshman couldn't have come at a better time. They are still trying to get used to the pace of the college game, but now they realize that we couldn't win without them."
Freshman forward Quanisha Ferrol exploded for a career-high against Paul Smith with 31 points and 20 rebounds, along with freshman forward Deja Cook with a career high of 14.
Vermont Tech currently has three players, J. Morris, G. Norwood, and M. Rilling, in the top 10 in the nation in total points scored.
"We still have a lot of growth ahead of us, but I'm proud of the leaps the ladies are making," stated Coach Miller.
The Lady Knights finish the month of November with one of 3 games. Nov. 28th vs. NHTI followed by a Dec 1st matchup against Unity College. Ending the homestand on Dec. 2nd against state rival College of Saint Joseph.
