Tyrrell Named USCAA Player of the Week

Randolph Center, VT – Vermont Tech Knights' Senior Guard and Captain Alex Tyrrell (Sydney, Australia) was named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week for the week of December 10, 2012.

Tyrrell led the Knights to a 1-1 record on the week, scoring a team and game-high 29 points in a win on Saturday against Paul Smith's College. On Wednesday, against Yankee Small College Conference Western Division leader and USCAA #2 ranked NHTI he scored 17 points, grabbed 6 rebounds and dished out 5 assists. In total on the week, he recorded 46 points, 13 rebounds, 10 assists and an incredible field goal percentage of 59%.
