Baseball Drops Home Opener to NHTI

On Saturday, August 27, 2011 the Vermont Tech Green Knights Baseball team dropped its Fall home opener to NHTI. The teams played a double header, with NHTI capturing both contests.

In the opening game the Lynx took control of the game early and defeated the home team 11-2. While the Knights showed marked improvement in the second half of the double header, they could not quite hang with the Lynx, eventually succumbing in a close contest 3-2. Vermont Tech is now 0-2 overall and in the YSCC, while NHTI is 2-0.

The team looks to continue to make strides as they face Central Maine Community College in another home double header starting at 12pm on Saturday, September 3, 2011.
